What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Lesa Professional Six

Lesa Professional Six - The Ultimate Automatic Professional Turntable by Martel is an outstanding example of the very finest in disc-recorded sound reproduction equipment.

Manufactured by an organization that has a forty year history of specialization in record player development, the lesa embodies every engineering advancement and refinement that has been proven practical and desirable. The three speed operation (33-1/3, 45 and 78 rpm), is precisely maintained by the built-in stroboscopic control, which also permits pitch variation when desired. The balanced tone arm may be adjusted to any degree of stylus pressure by means of a micrometric adjusting screw and indicating index scale. Pickup descent may be adjusted so that the stylus will descend into the exact center of the first record groove.
The heavy, perfectly balanced antistatic turntable, with its ball-bearing mounting, is driven by a six-pole induction motor, superior in operation to the customarily used types  in that it reduces the possibility of "wow" to an imperceptible minimum. Many other advanced features, including the cueing system, perfected record handling mechanism, simplified cartridge changing
Method, etc., combine to make the Lesa professional Six by Martel the first choice of those who really listen to their disc recordings.
