Medium-Power
Stereo receiver with FET FM Front End, PLL MPX, Precision Equalizer and High
S/N Differential OCL Power Amplifier.
Can your
musical needs truly be met by a stereo receiver with as little RMS power output
as 15 watts per channel? They can if you put your trust in the Pioneer SX-450.
if your listening room is of average size, if your budget is modest, and if
clean, low-distortion musical reproduction is your goal, the SX-450 is the
medum-powered stereo receiver for you. Its solid stereo FM/AM section includes
a PLL multiplex IC for wide and stable stereo FM separation. There's a
low-noise FET coupled with a frequency-linear 3-gang variable capacitor to
increase FM sensitivity, a 5-stage limiter to eliminate AM noise, and a special
integrated circuit to improve AM tonal Quality. The phono equalizer features a
big low 0,1% distortion, and the tone control section is of the CR type to
permit super-quiet handling of all tonal adjustments.
Continuous
power output of 15 watts min. RMS, at 8 ohms, 20 to 20,000 Hz with no more than 0,5% total harmonic
distortion. All things considered, this is an unusually good buy in stereo -
the SX-450 from Pioneer.
