With its distinctive" tower-like" appearance, the LS-220A, a two-way speaker system, has been designed to provide "bigspeaker" response from its relatively small, columnar enclosure. Its robust bass, produced by Bozak's 8" aluminum woofer, is integrated with a specially designed cross-over network that assures a smooth transition to the celebrated Bozak 1" soft dome tweeter which provides clean clear highs without a hint of sibilance.
Bozak speakers have always been designed so that they do not "intrude" between the music and the listener.
The LS-220A's 8" aluminum woofer has a rigid, low mass, high compliance cone, and this together with other design criteria, permits the use of modestly powered amplifiers (25 watts RMS) with these efficient speakers.
The clarity, smoothness and warmth of the Bozak treble, without the annoying shrillness heard in many competitive tweeters, assures many hours of continuous listening pleasure with a total absence of "listener Fatigue", due primarily to uneven frequency response.
