Jumbo Stereo Receiver KR-6170

Advent of Kenwood's epoch-making KR-6170 Jumbo Stereo Receiver, however, has completely changed this concept. Stereo today is for playing as well as for listening. KR-6170 is also equipped with Reverberation Unit; Echo-Sound Output terminals for 4-channel reproduction; 4-sets of speaker terminals (A, B, C, D and any combination0; 2-Hour Timer for automatic shut-off; 2 jacks for both Guitar and Microphone (with Mike-Mixing Volume Control); 2 pairs of tape Monitor circuits; Foot-Start Switch for Rhythm Composer and Dynamic Mike; etc.

All this housed in a single Jumbo unit with a power output of 180 watts. This is the New Stereo, geared to listening and playing pleasure.

 

Reverberation Unit

The KR-6170 features exclusive Reverberation Unit offering echo effect. Thanks to the strictly selected materials for spring and damper. It has no unnaturalness. The reverberating time can be controlled up to maximum 2 seconds by the Level Adjustor.

The another extraordinary feature is Reverberation Mode Switch which enables selecting input sources to be reverberated. At "source" position the reverberation is added to all the sources. Guitar, Microphone and Rhythm can be independently reverberated. The listening and playing pleasure is greatly enhanced.

 


Electronic Rhythm Composer

12 different rhythm varieties can be produced by 5 electronically composed percussions. KR-6170 has clearly changed the concept of a receiver with adding the enjoyment of "play along" besides that of listening. The built-in features are:

Tempo Control - offering tempo variety slow to quick

Rhythm Mode Switch - reproducing mode of a rhythm is selectable according to the situation

Rhythm Tone Control - booth of high and low tone volume can be independently increased or decreased in order to obtain the most suitable rhythm balance

Rhythm Selector - by the pushbuttons 12 rhythms are selectable

Foot Switch - as an accessorised part the foot remote pedal is attached for easy use while the hands are occupied.
