FM/AM Stereo Receiver.
All the Performance and Power You Should Ever Need
Then admit that the JVC R-S11 is the best buy around for your hi-fi money. Innovative features are many to keep vital hi-fi parameters up to snuff. Thanks to JVC microelectronics, performance has been improved and reliability enhanced several fold for years of trouble-free listening.
Output Capacitor=Less (OCL) design; for effective distortion-free performance
The power amp in the JVC R-S11 is of the time-tested fully complementary OCL configuration, with its internal stages directly coupled to each other. The bonus you get is clarity and crispness in reproduced sound. It delivers the rated outut, quoted above, with exceptionally low distortion.
Phono equalizer: Hear how the artists on your records really sound.
False coloration in reproduced music from disc records is annoying in the least, outrageous in the extreme. To avoid it, JVC has given the JVC R-S11 a phono equalizer that adds practically no color of its own - RIAA accuracy is maintained within ±0,5 dB .throughout a wide 20 Hz to 20 kHz range. The circuit makes use of Negative Feedback (NFB) to contain distortion and achieve a high 88 dB Signal-to-Noise Ratio (at 10 mV input).
Tone control: A useful hi-fi tool with NFB
We've made the bass and treble tone controls in the JVC R-S11 easier to use by providing slider-type control pots. And we've made tone control more accurate by designing the circuit to offer natural boost/cut characteristics; levels may be adjusted up to ±8 dB at frequencies centered al. 100 Hz and 10 kHz.
Peak Power Indication keeps you informed of actual output.
It's not often that you'll find a receiver in this price range with such an accurate indicator of actual power output. The eight green LEDs show the moment-by-moment peaks in the stereo output with extreme accuracy over a wide range from 0,03 to 25 watts. It's fun to watch and functional, too.
FM/AM tuner. Signal-pulling sensitivity and pin-point accuracy.
The combination is more than ideal; a junction FET RF amp, a 3-gang variable capacitor for FM and a PLL multiplex stereo demodulator contained in an IC. Weak signals are pulled in with almost no interference from powerful signals of adjacent stations, while strong signals are tamed for low overload distortion.
Tuning your favorite stations is easy - an array of the five LEDs shows when the signal is strongest (and distortion and noise lowest). A 3-LED FM tuning indicator tells you exactly when you're accurately tuned at the center of an FM broadcast.
