What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Akai AA-1115 receiver

Stereo Receiver AA-1115

Outstanding performance is guaranteed from this elegantly designed slim high fidelity stereo receiver. Top grade circuitry, precise controls and multiple connections.

Quality Circuits for High Fidelity

A plus/minus power supply and differential semi-complementary OCL circuitry not only provides 15 watts per channel continous power output, minimum RMS at 8 ohms from 40 to 20,000 Hz with no more than 0,5% Total Harmonic Distortion, but also produces better phase characteristic and accounts for more low range frequency directivity. Top grade 3-stage direct coupled negative feedback equalizer circuit also in the amplifier section extends phono input, signal linearity to 110 mV (rms, 1 kHz) to assure wide dynamic range.

AA-1115 tuner section features PLL (Phase Locked Loop) MPX section to assure accurate and stable FM stereo separation of more than 40 dB, IC equipped FM-IF section features a built-in quadrature detector for excellent linearity and minimal distortion over an exceptionally wide frequency range and two-stage ceramic filter for better selectivity.

Elegant and Easy-to-Operate Design

The new lighting structure enables clear reading of linear dial scale and AM/FM tuning meter, and the enumerated bass, treble, balance and volume controls facilitate easy reference. Other features include a loudness switch for clearer low volume listening, a mode switch with FM muting circuit for quieter tuning, a tape monitor switch and push-button speaker switches for easier selection

Multiple Connections

Connections include Phono Jacks and two full speaker systems. Dubbing from a tape deck to a tape deck is possible using Aux and Tape Jacks. Tuning, preamplification and power amplification in one slim cabinet. Do them well with quality Akai receiver AA-1115.
