What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Kyocera C-910 (1983)

The first control pre-amplifier based on digital age technology and space age materials.

Features

Single Stage Push-pull circuitry improves open-loop performance and requires minimal use of negative feedback.

Separate input level and output volume controls near the final stage achieve the best signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic range.

Ceramic Compound Resin base chasiss isolates unwanted vibration both from internal and external sources.

Built-in MC Head amplifier is encased in a completely separate block, shielded with non magnetic material.

Only select circuit components used, from ceramic capacitors to film capacitors to achieve atmost sound quality.

Newly developed Fine Ceramic Linear module preserves sound quality by preventing unwanted vibration and DCdrift.

Top-quality Linear Crystal Oxygen-Free Copper wires are used to minimize signal loss through cable wires.

Digital program sources are virtually free of noise, with dynamic ranges in excess of 90 dB. For a pre-amplifier to cope with this unprecedented audio quality required the full refinement of conventional audio techniques as well as a totally fresh approach to improving performance.

The C-910's circuit design begins with a highly simplifield all Direct-Coupled (DC) Single Stage Push-pull (SPP) amplifier configuration that eliminates the second voltage amplifier stage of the output section. The SSP circuit maximizes the advantages innerent in a MOS-FET circuit, but also provides a very high slew rate exceptionally smooth open loop response wide dynamic range and maximum signal-to-noise ratio. No capacitors are used for stage coupling which eliminates a principle cause of sonic coloration. The entire SSP circuit is then encapsulated in Kyocera's proprietary Fine Ceramic Linear (FCL) module to counter Microphonic Effect and to eliminate instability due to temperature variations. Unwanted vibrations are reduced further by mounting all the C-910's circuitry directly to a high-density, non-resonant Ceramic Compound Resin (CCR) chassis. The Kyocera C-910 lets nothing interfere with accurate sound reproduction.
