What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Sansui SP-100

Both of these handsome speaker systems are already estabilished favorites among discriminating stereo enthusiasts worldwide. As quality 3-way systems, they are designed for pure, uncompromised high fidelity stereo reproduction when used in medium to large powered stereo systems. SP-200 feature specially designed woofers, midrange and tweeters, that have been carefully positioned to take maximum advantage of Sansui's pipe-duct reflex enclosure.
25 watt input capacity - with a 25 watt handling capacity, the SP-100 is at home in any quality medium-to-high powered stereo system. It brings a new degree of quality to any system in which it is used.
Three-way, 3-speaker system -  utilizing three main types of speakers, the SP-100 is at home throughout the entire audio range, from a low 45 Hz, all the way to 20,000 Hz which is well beyond the limits of human hearing.
Woofer - this quality component has been designed to take maximum advanteg of Sansui's pipe-duct bass reflex design. Its edge, paper cone, damper and other pats are all designed to deliver the best possible linearity at the highest amplitudes.
Midrange - these rear-sealed cone type speakers provide more depth to the system's overall sound reproduction qualities. They enable the listener to distinguishbetween any independent instrument in an orchestra. It is often said thet the quality of midrange reproduction determiniesthe quality of speaker system.
Tweeter - two horn type tweeters enable the SP-2000 to deliver clean, transparent highs all the way up to 20,000 Hz with excellent transient response.
