What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Luxman R-351 receiver

Digital Synthesized AM/FM Stereo Receiver
Luxman's audio excellence combines with todays computer intelligence in the new System Bus to bring you the heart of a totally integrated system. The R-351 features a robust 55 watts per channel. Convenience features include full system remote control, computer analuzed tuning, CD Syncro recording, record Out selector and a variable sleep timer. Multi-room system remote control is available with infrared or in-wall keypad operation. As with every "300" Series unit, the System Bus computer control offers the simplest method of operating your system ever. Also Duo beta, STAR Circuit, Voltage Driven Amplification, pre-amp Out.

Features:
20 Random Station memories - A total of 20 AM and /or FM stations can be memorized in any random pattern. Any station can be instantly recalled by touching the appropriate random station preset button without any need to change the Am or FM Input Selector, and the 20 stations can be recalled by local or remote control
Computer Store - This feature allows the internal computer of the R-351 to automatically store a series of FM or AM station in the 20 preset memory locations. The automatic storing sequence may be started at the first or any subsequent memory position and from any chosen frequency position on the FM or AM band.

Auto-Seek FM/AM Tuning - Allows automatic tuning of all stations (except weak stations below the muting level) on a station-by-station basis. This eliminates the tedium of manually fine tuning every station.
