What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Revox B 710 (1981)

Revox B710 Tape Recorder

4-engine drive assembly Revox dedicates special care to the substantial functions of the cassette device. 2-directly propelling quartz-synchronized capstan engines guarantee accurate synchronisation and tape feed without jerking.

The cassette tape recorder Revox B710 sets new standards. Original-faithful admission and refined mixing technology inspire even the professional. For the reliability and longevity the name vouches Revox. Owing to its technical superiority the Revox B710 is incomparable and expels their owner as a connoisseur. Revox B710 fulfills its high requirement in terms of musical truth compromiseless.

HIGH CONVENIENT OPERATION REVOX B710 arranged the controls clear and clearly. Left the push buttons controlling of the drive assembly, the digital display for speedometer and clock as well as switch for Dolby B and Dolby C are attached. Right are stereo input levels adjustments, LED controlling chain, microphone entrances and phones-output. Behind the Revox screen the keys for tape typ choice, timer enterprise as well as starting and stopping inch input line. This convenient operation gives the necessary clearance to the HiFi lover to leave to its formative conceptions free run. The Revox B710 is just as long-lived as all components of the high-quality Revox program. Their conception corresponds already today to the requirements from tomorrow.

Two precision engines provide for fast rewinding and grant a highest possible measure of volume indulgence. No other equipment seizes your cartridges so gently and surely to a life long. The assembly of the four engines on a twisting-free pressure pouring chassis, on whatever the three separated Sendust and ferrite Revox B710 clay/tone heads are attached, secures the stability of the drive assembly.

DOLBY B AND DOLBY C INTERCARRIER NOISE SUPPRESSOR REVOX uses the Dolby system and knows therefore no disturbing volume noise. Additionally to the Dolby B the B710 MK II is equipped with Dolby C. Revox B710 system represents the optimal solution for the intercarrier noise suppressor within the problematic elevator range.
