What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Aiwa SD-L60 cassette deck

Cassette Deck

Equipped with IC logic controls, this compact high-performance deck proves that size need not place limits on versatile operation.

Motorized load/eject

To simplify cassette handling, the SD-L60 incorporates a new flywheel-assisted transport mechanism which loads the cassette into playing position with light finger pressure. A touch of the eject control and tapes are smoothly transported outward for removal.

Convenient remaining tape indicator

During recording and playback, the peak LED display may be switched to indicate the number of minutes remaining before the tape end. LEDs will light successively during play, when the final LED comes on, it indicates that 3 minutes remain for C-60 tapes, 4,5 minutes for C-90.

Remote control operation

A 24-pin connection terminal at the rear panel enables the SD-L60 to be utilized with the RC-R300 wireless remote control system - just one of the many exciting optionals offered with Aiwa mini components

Plus Features:

High-performance DX head

Metal tape compatibility

Dolby noise reduction system

Independently adjustable left/right channel record volume controls

Rec-sync terminal for automatic recording from Aiwa brand terminals
