Many years ago Jensen introduced the G-610 Triaxial 3-way loudspeaker, three acoustically and electronically independent loudspeakers in one unitary assembly. It made history as the first 3-way system and embodied the first horn-loaded compression driver supertweeter to be used in a commercial high fidelity loudspeaker. When this 15" speaker was installed in a large enclosure,, the sound was truly awe inspiring.

Now Jensen has created the SG-300 Triax® . It is scaled down in dimensions and will go in a compact shelf-size enclosure. It retains all of the important original concepts, is even more advanced in its use of the Flexair® high-compliance long-travel surround and Syntox-6 magnetic structure in the woofer.

A low-distortion compression midrange uses the woofer cone as its horn mouth. The cast support bar contains a new horn-loaded compression super-tweeter which delivers response well past 20 kHz.

Jensen Optimum Performance Concept

Many years ago, Jensen sound engineers went to work on a whole new concept in speaker design, OPC , the Optimum Performance Concept. It was based on one simple idea. That each part of a speaker system should be designed to help reproduce sound the way it was recorded. The same highs and lows. The same midranges. In all directions.

After five years of development, this concept has become a reality with Jensen's all-new OPC high fidelity line. It's been a long wait. But when you hear them, you'll know it's been worth it.

OPC means distortion-free bass response

Other speaker manufactures use cloth to connect the outer edge of a speaker cone to the speaker frame. We use exclusive Flexair foam suspension on every OPC speaker system for less restricted cone movement.

OPC means truer midranges

OPC speaker systems come with tuned isolation chambers. They're specially designed to smooth out midrange response and eliminate distortion resulting from mingling of frequencies in the speaker cabinet.

OPC means improved high frequency response

Our unique Sonodome tweeter disperses sound at a wide 170° angle to fill a room with brilliant highs… highs you're not used to hearing in home speakers of comparable price.
