Ruark Talisman II

Elegant floor-standing two-way reflex design with sloping front baffle, using a doped paper cone bass/midrange driver plus a fabric dome tweeter, both produced in Scandinavia to Ruark's requirements. No obvious blemishes or omissions in the sound and strongly recommended.

Ruark Crusader II

More or less complete re-vamp of the original floor-standing Crusader, with a new tweeter and LE driver. Beautifully veneered ported (reflex) cabinet is heavily braced against panel resonances. The three drivers integrate nicely and the loudspeaker is relatively insensitive to room position. Particularly convincing in reproducing the human voice, with the bass not overly extended yet fast and facile. Admirable imaging and considerable depth of perspective.

Ruark Classic Sceptre

Ruark's new Classic Serie loudspeaker, the Sceptre, replaces the popular Swordsman model. It is a compact two-way reflex-loaded design using a 170 mm bass/midrange driver and a 28 mm silk fabric type tweeter.
A simple eight-element crossover is employed, centred on 2000 Hz. The bass driver has been custom built for the Sceptre. Finished in a choice of real wood veneers.

A simple eight-element crossover is employed, centred on 2200Hz. The bass driver has been custom built for the Icon. Finished in a choice of real wood veneers.
