Acoustic Research
proudly presents three types of loudspeaker systems and one great sound.
This model of speakers - the AR-8b - exemplify a fundamental belief we have held through nearly three decades of acoustic research. Listeners whose system options are highly restricted by budgetary considerations need not be deprived of true quality sound. These B-series acoustic suspension speakers use long throw woofers with energy absorbent diaphragms damped to an extremely low Q. the bass stays tight and clean, even at 75 watts of power on the model 8b. For added protection during peak power surges, the 1-1/4-inch high range drivers are cooled with magnetic fluid and fitted with S-Shaped lead outs.
