"new" S-8000 FM Stereo Multiplex Receiver is rapidly becoming one of

This unit
contains all of the electronics for a complete home music system on a single
compact chassis. The S-8000 features two 32-watt amplifiers, complete with dual
preamplifiers for phono and tape plus a highly sensitive FM tuner with complete
wired-in circuitry for receiving FCC-approved FM multiplexed stereocasts. Just
add speakers to complete your stereo home hi-fi music system.
The Model
S-8000 integrates in one unit all of the important controls and perormance
features offered separately on any of Sherwood's FM tuners, stereo amplifiers,
and FM multiplex adapters. The usual concern about heat dissipation from a
complex unit of this type has been solved by Sherwood design engineers. In the
S-8000, the unique new Novar output tubes have been tilted toward the rear of
the chassis so that tube heat is deflected away from other components by
Sherwood's exclusive air-cooled heat baffle.
