What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Luxman D-102

The D-102 brings the listener the highest levels of musical performance along with a logical design that takes full advantage of the convenience and flexibility offered by digital technology.
In addition to Luxman's array of advanced digital and analog technological features, the D-102 features a highly stable three-section power supply, in which the servo DAC and analog circuits all have separate regulated and filtered power sections. This provides stable noise-free output and superior musical dynamics.
The D-102 also utilizes the latest microprocessor technology to provide the ultimate in flexibility and operational simplicity.
Up to 15 tracks can be preset into the computer's memory for playback in any sequence.
A 10-key remote control offers complete control over all major functions. In addition to basic operational commands, it allows remote opening and closing of the disc door, direct random entry and play of any track on the disc, operation of the Time Select Switch and programming functions.
An eight-digit fluorescent display presents simultaneous operations information of the track number and time functions; either track or total disc elapsed time, or entire disc remaining time.

The remote controlunit RD-102 includes a ten-key numeric keypad for direct random track entry and play.
A ten-numeric keypad allows you to directly enter the track of your choice for instant playback, and permits advanced memory programming functions. In addition, the program Check feature provides an instant status report of memory contents.
In addition to direct track entry, the D-102 also allows you to skin forward or backward in one-track increments, or use two scanning speeds in fast Forward or backward to search within individual music selections.
Naturally, thorugh the Repeat feature, you can enjoy continual playback of a single selection, the entire disck or a programmed sequence of selections.
