What is stereo?




There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

The AE3 is a high power, trhee-way loudspeaker featuring "Metal-cone" low-frequency and mid-range drive units. The well proven 130 mm (5") "Metal-Coe" drive unit, as used in the AE!, has been further developed and is used int he AE3 in a mid-range form in a heavily damped tubular transmission line enclosure within the main enclosure. The AE3 has the power and scale of much larger speakers but retains the dynamics, transparency, speed and detail of the AE1. "Metal-Cone" technology is protected by european patent application no.87310904,5 United States patent application no.133,020, World patents pending
