Sonora
Model B-210
Desgned for
the discriminating music lover who has restricted listening space or budged,
the Sonora represents the ultimate accomplishment in two-way speaker desing.
Among bookshelf speakers it is distinguished by the openness, clarity and
solidity of its sound. Its efficiency is such that it provides faitful
reproduction even when driven by the low-powered amplifiers in music systems
designed for smaller rooms.
To approach
the perfection of three-way Bozak systems, Bozak engineers had not only to
develop a special component speaker to handle the bass and midrange
frequancies, but also to devlop a vented enclosure to assure open bass tones.
The
wide-range Model B-800B speaker employs a spun aluminum cone of patented design
to provide a combination of rigidity with low mass and high compliance to
permit outstanding transient response over a broad frequency range. The
lightweight cones allow faithful reproduction at even low amplifier powers,
but, since its aluminumcones dissipiate heat, it is capable of handling in
excess of 60 watts of power - power
handling capability unusual in a speaker of its size.
For the
treble frequencies, a single unit of Bozak's celebrated B-200Y tweeter is
employed. A passive L-C network provides crossover between the two component
speakers at a frequency of 1800 Hz and at s smooth 6 dB/octave raate.
