Solid State AM/FM
Stereo Tuner with FM Preset Tuning Convenience.
The TX-700 has new
FET FM circuitry that gives it improved sensitivity and selectivity am
reception is also excellent. With the station presetting feature, up to 5 FM
stations will pop in individually at the touch of a button, and manual tuning
is convenient, too. The TX-700 also includes a very accurate time-switching
type demodulator in the FM multiplex section that provides wide frequency
response and natural stereo separation. A full complement of controls and
connections make the TX-700 very versatile. It's tuner that is just as much a
pleasure to operate as it is to hear.
Features:
New FM Circuitry
FET in the front end
of the TX-700 and variable capacitance diodes in the entirely new tuning
circuit provide much better sensitivity and selectivity, tuning is easier even
in areas of station-crowding.
FM Preset Tuning
With the manual
tuning knob OFF, you can preset up to 5 FM stations by means of the individual
tuning meters and dial scales. After once presetting, tuning in is quickly
accomplished by a simple touch of a push-button.
FM IF Section
The TX-700
incorporates integrated circuits in the FM intermediate frequency section -
limiting and capture ratio are much better than in conventional FM stages.
Manual Tuning
With the manual
tuning knob ON, AM or FM stations can be tuned very accurately by dialing. For
manual tuning, the tuning needle lights up on the dial scale.
FM Multiplex Section
A highly accurate
time-switching type demodulator in the multiplex section provides excellent
separation and frequency response. The TX-700 also has an FM MPX noise filter
to keep noise out of FM stereo reception, a muting switch on the front panel to
eliminate interstation noise, and FM mono-stereo automatic selection.
Am Tuner section
The TX-700 has a
ferrite loopstick antenna on the rear panel plus connections for a long-wire
antenna for improved AM reception.
Output Level Control
In addition to tape
recording output terminals, there is an output level control permitting perfect
compatibility with other amplifiers.
Styling
The appearance of
the TX-700 is clearly, attractively, contemporary. The TX-700 blends
particularly well with pre- and main amplifiers Pioneer Model S.C.-700 and
SM-700
