Destined to
become yet another classic bearing the Klipsch name, the new Klipsch Quartet
embodies time-tested design principles and dawing technology to give you a
speaker system of the highest sonic integrity.
The
Quartet's new hybrid tractrix midrange horn is uncanny in its ability to
deliver the countless inner details of complex musical pasages. Designed with
computer-modeling techniques, the Quartet woofer is voice-coil-vented to
increase power handling and bass output while decreasing distortion.
The
classically-styled cabinet of the Quartet is hand-finished in your choice of
genuine wood veneers to give you a system as beautiful as the music it
reproduces. The Quartet reflects your good taste in music and the art. Of its
reproduction.
The Quartet
also takes advantage of the Tractrix midrange horn and recreates music with
stunning clarity. Features include:
A high
frequency horn/driver assembly - provides sparkling detail to your favorite
music.
The new
Tractrix midrange horn - uncanny in its ability to isolate and deliver the countless inner details of complex
musical passages.
The 12"
passive radiator and 10" active woofer - this rear-mounted passive
radiator, coupled with a new vented voice-coil woofer, helps create
exceptionally clean, tight bass response.
A - This
Klipsch-designed high frequency horn/driver assembly assists the Quartet in
providing sparkling detail to your music. The stereo image is so clear and
sharply focused, you'll feel as if you can touch the music while it is touching
you.
B - A tractrix hybrid design, the midrange horn
of the Quartet delivers exceptionally smooth polar coverage in both horizontal
and vertical planes to give you a stereo image now of greater width, depth, and
stability. This unique horn is uncanny in its ability to isolare and deliver
the countless inner details of the most complex musical passages.
C - The
Quartet's powerful, well-extended bass is due in part to this rear-mounted
sub-bass radiator. Measuring 12" (305 mm) in diameter, the sub-bass
radiator operates on acoustic pressure generated by the woofer for greater bass
output and extension.
D - using
computer-modeling techniques , Klipsch engineers developed a new
voice-coil-vented woofer for exceptionally clean, tight bass, and unparalleled
reliability. The new woofer also provides higher output and, with the new
sub-bass radiator, lowers distortion.
E - The
Quartet's cabinet provides immediate evidence of construction quality. This
cabinet is meticulously crafted from your choice of genuine wood veneers. Each
pair is matched for color and grain structure of the wood. One tiny flaw and
the entire pair is destroyed.
F - Yet
another example of efficient design principles at Klipsch, the input panel of
the Quartet is built in conjunction with the crossover network of the system.
Thus, incoming electrical information is immediately sent to the proper driver
without undue and unnecessary wiring.
G - A
built-in riser base lifts the Quartet to the proper height for the optimum
stereo effect, yet keeps the system coupled to the floor for maximum bass
response.
