Despite its modest price, the TD-166C 2-speed transcription turntable is a Thorens in every sense of the word. It incorporates many advanced features, including: the new Thorens TP-11 Isotrack tonearm; anti-skating control; faster start-up with a new high-torque, 16-pole synchronous motor; precision damped pause/cue control; dynamically balanced 6,6 lb, 12-inch non-ferrus platter; unified suspension system ; 33-⅓ and 45 rpm speeds.
