Sony TA-4300F

 High Performance Channel Dividing Preamplifier
Features:
Unsurpassed Quality - 24 FET's (Field EffectTransistors) exclusively engineered for high fidelity account for an extremely low distortion of 0.03% at 1V output and high S/N ratio of 85 dB at 1V input.
Simple Dividing of Channels - The original frequency range can be divided into 2 or 3 parts with channel selector screw. With the TAD-43F (optional), 4-channel dividing for tweeter and super tweeter is also possible. With two TA-4300F's, the dividing range can be made into 5 parts.
Precise Selection of Crossover Frequencies - You can simply obtain precise crossover frequencies best fit for the characteristics of your speakers with the crossover frequency selector. In 3 channel dividing, 6 steps between 150 - 1000 Hz for low/mid crossover frequency range and 6 steps between 1,5 - 8 kHz for mid/high crossover frequency range are available. In 2 channel dividing, 12 steps of crossover frequencies between 150 Hz - 8 kHz are also available with switchig of the channel selector screw.
Each crossover frequency consists of NF type filter with the slope of 18 dB/oct.
Advanced Bass Control - Low channel frequency shift switch changes the cut off frequency at low frequency range and compensates the characteristics of speakers. Bass boost level control is provided for bass boost at frequencies below 150 Hz having the slope of 12 dB/oct that boost at 20 Hz up to maximum 18 dB,
Effective Level Controls -  Equalizes the unbalanced efficiency of speakers to attain flat and smooth frequency response throughout.

Marantz Model 3

 Marantz Electronic Crossover
A considerable improvement in clarity and smoothness of reproduction is obtained when a loudspeaker is connected directly to the amplifier terminals without intervening reactive networks. Th elow internal impedance of the amplifier then tends to dampen spurious speaker resonances. In multi-speaker system it would be necessary to accomplish the crossover at an earlier stage in order to supply separate amplifiers with the frequency range required for each speaker. The Marantz Electronic Crossover was designed for this purpose.
This new unit embodies typical Marantz quality features. Careful engineering and high grade construction meke this one of the finest instruments of the finest instruments of its type (terminal board wiring, low-noise deposited carbon resistors, precision components, etc.) A basic two-channel unit, it can be cascaded for multi-speaker systems.

12 crossover points at ½ octave intervals. Adjustable from 100 cps to 7000cps. Separate switch and a balance control for each channel.
12 dB per octave rolloffs with -3dB (non-ringing) "knees". 12 dB down one octave beyond crossover.
Self-powered by remote supply. All 3 dual triode tubes provided with filtered DC on filaments for elimination of Hum problems.
