What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Pioneer T-3500 cassette deck

The cassette stereo tape deck with a real performance difference - it's especially designed for use with standard, low-noise or chromium dioxide tapes

Up until now, the performance of stereo cassette tapes has often been superior to the performance of stereo  cassette tape decks. But with Pioneer's T-3500 deck music listeners are assured of a unit that matches even the very best tapes made today. The T-3500 is the first professional cassette tape deck especially designed for use with any of the three major cassette tapes now on the market; standard, low-noise, high-output or the chromium dioxide tapes. This attractive unit incorporates three kinds of tape selector buttons on its front panel that lets you choose the most ideal performance for each of the different recording tapes. And cassette sound has just never sounded as good. The T-3500 is built for quality music reproduction in other ways, too. It uses a ferrite solid head for long life and frequency response with wide dynamic range sound reproduction. Moreover, it is equipped with an automatic-stop, automatic pop-up mechanism and precision drive mechanism for smooth tape travel. With the T-3500 cassette sound comes of age. And it's available now from Pioneer.

Choice of Tape Selector Switches

The T-3500 features three selector buttons that let you apply the ideal condition for each of the three types of commonly used cassette recording tapes. You can choose between standard, low-noise, high-output and high performance chromium dioxide tapes. And be guaranteed of total performance from each. These three tape selector buttons are the very latest development in cassette recorder innovation. They're designed to help you get the most from your recorded music - and make mediocre cassette performance a thing of the past.

Ferrite Solid Head of unlimited service-life and excellent performance

Even with all the modern new tape deck technology, still the most important part of your purchase is the tape head. Pioneer's T-3500 employ an extremely hard crystal ferrite type head to give you practically unlimited service-life and wide-frequency response . Such is the smooth touch of the head to the tape that you can virtually hear the difference with the first tape you play or record.

Unique Automatic cassette Pop-Up mechanism

The T-3500 features an automatic tape end shutt-off switch that has a choice of two functions. With the Automatic tape end shutt-off switch set to Stop, the drive mechanism will be released automatically at the end of the tape. When it's in a Pop-Up position, the cassette is automatically ejected at the end of its playing time. A very convenient feature to save on machine and tape wear.
