Moderately-priced flexible Program Timer
Key selling feature: Flexibility
The Sony PT-V5 offers your customers more flexibility than any other timer in this price range. Of course, it does the basic functions they expect in a timer; it turns the high fidelity system on and off for unattended recording of radio broadcasts. In addition, it can be used as wake-up timer - getting your customers out of bed with both the music from the system and/or alarm sound from the timer itself. More than that, a novel "ready" function sets the alarm to sound after a predetermined interval, from 1 to 59 minutes after actuation.
Key Demonstration
The operation of program takes some getting used to. Rather than doing a step-by-step operating demo, you should explain the benefits of the timer. If your customer has a cassette deck, explain that he can record FM programs even when he's not at home, he can use the timer to wake up to music on his system. And he can use the "ready" function as an interval timer during the day.
