What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Cybernet CP-200D turntable

Direct Drive Semi-Automatic Turntable

You can hear the difference in a Cybernet component. That's because Cybernet is a world leader and innovator in the field of electronics and designs all of its audio products to very exacting specifications. And that's why, whichever Cybernet component you purchase, you can be assured of excellent performance, incredibly accurate sound, high reliability and long life.

Direct Drive for Outstanding Performance

The Cybernet CP-200D incorporates a direct drive system to reduce potential sources of wow, flutter and rumble. By eliminating the use of high speed motors, bells or idlers, the direct drive system achieves outstanding performance. Wow and Flutter is reduced to a mere 0,05% WRMS, contributing to exceptional rotational accuracy. The Signal-to-Noise Ratio of -68 dB (DIN-B) translates into extremely quiet turntable operation. Combined, these advanced technologies contribute to the line sound quality of the CP-200D

Semi-Automatic Turntable Control

With semi-automatic control, when the end of a record is reached, the tonearm automatically lifts and returns to the rest position and the turntable is shut-off. A "reject" button will allow return of the arm at any point in the record. One of the major benefits of semi-automatic control is that your stylus won't stay continuously in the lead-out grooves of the record, as in manual turntables. This means less wear and longer life for the record turntable and cartridge stylus

Convenient Front Panel Controls

The most important operating controls are located right on the front panel for maximum convenience. A speed selector provides a choice of either 33-⅓ or 45 rpm. If you desire to change the speed slightly, a variable pitch control and illuminated stroboscope are provided for both speeds. A "reject" button allows return of the tonearm to the rest position. And all controls can be operated even when the dust cover is closed, thus providing extra protection for your records.

Low mass, Tubular Aluminum Tonearm

The tonearm is of straight, tubular aluminum construction for excellent damping of outside vibrations. Its low-mass design, and finely machined, low-friction bearings, provide excellent tracking ability and exceptional sound quality.

Base Material Resists Acoustic Feedback

The base of the CP-200D has been specially designed to provide high resistance against both mechanical and acoustical feedback. The dense cabinet material together with shock-absorbent feet provide resistance against vibrations that might otherwise tend to degrade the sound quality.

Viscous-Damped Cueing Control

The tonearm is viscous oil-damped for smooth lift or set-down when using the manual cueing lever. With viscous-damped cueing, the tonearm can be lowered onto the record with greater precision and less chance of cueing error.

Pitch Control with Illuminated Stroboscope

The CP-200D provides a pitch control with a plus or minus range of 4% for both 33-1-3 and 45 rpm. This effectively allows you to speed up or slow down the record. And an easy-to-see, illuminated stroboscope gives a visual readout for fine-adjustment of the turntable's speed.

FG Servo Control

One of the reasons for the outstanding rotational accuracy of the CP-200D is the FG (Frequency Generator) servo-controlled DC motor. Any possible trace of speed drift is automatically detected and immediately corrected. Full IC (Integrated Circuitry) design adds to the system's overall performance reliability.
