What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Kenwood KP-3021

Kenwood's KP-3021 is a revolutionary automatic turntable. Thanks to the 24-pole synchronous motor employed exclusively for the arm's operation, all the automatic functions - auto-play, auto-return, auto-repeat and auto-stop - are electrically operated. This means KP-3021 has completely overcome the troubles conventional automatic players often suffer from. Even when you happen to mistake the handling, KP-3021's fool-proof mechanism won't be out of oreder.
 Special Features
Automatic Mechanism
A high quality 24-pole synchronous motor is emplyed exclusively for the arm operation. This means all the automatic operations are done electrically. Besides the convenience, Kenwood has brought reliability, smoothness and durability to the KP-3021. you seldom meet the accidents or troubles in the automatic mechanism. Even when you mis-handle, neither mechanism nor disc is injured. What is required to you is to switch on and  to fully rely on the KP-3021.

Automatic Operations
Auto-play - Push soft the control panel and the turntable rotates. At the same time the arm leaves the rest and gently goes down on a disc.
Auto-return - When the disc playing ends, the arm returns to the rest and the power switch turns off. No harmful side-force affects on the stylus.
Auto-repeat - By the slide-type switch the disc playing can be repeated.
Auto-cut - When you want to discontinue the playing, push the control panel. The arm rises and returns to the rest.

Disc Size Selector
According to the disc on the turntable please set the lever beforehand at either of 30, 25 0r 17. the stylus then sinks accurately on the starting point.

Manual Operation
By setting the lever at the position "Manual", the KP-3021 can be operated manually. For manual convenience the Arm Lifter is attached. Another enjoyment may be yours through hand-operation.

Belt-Drive System
For the drive system Kenwood employs a specially developed 4-pole outer-rotor hysteresis synchronous motor which provides constant rotation with far less wow and flutter. In addition, the belt drive system offers superb signal to noise ratio.

Newly Designed Pipe Arm
The S-shaped pipe arm with high sensitivity is used. The built-in lateral balancer will meet any severe equirement.
