What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Dynamic Bass Response

Only a very large speaker can equal the bass response that is a standard feature of the CS-E400 units. The reason is Pioneer's use of a 8-inch woofer in each enclosure plus revolutionary L.B cone-paper. This cone paper was developed only recently after many years of research and has been hailed throughout the audio world for its clear distortion-free reproduction. Tou will hear the difference with the very first recording you play through these speakers.

Smooth , Clean Highs

The CS-E400 speakers feature dome-type tweeters for high-range frequency reproduction. The sound is clean, precise, brilliant - just the way you'd expect it to be in speakers costing much more. The tweeter diaphragms are manufactured from quality animal fibres and a special treatment to increase intrnal loss. The treble reproduction is thus extremely natural with excellent directional characteristics.

The woofer and tweeter components are perfectly matched for balanced reproduction. Frequency Range is a wide 15 - 20,000 Hz and the system features excellent transient and intermodulation distortion characteristics. The combination of these acoustical characteristics makes for a quality of sound that is unmatched by any speakers in the same price range.
