What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Bozak Model LS-200 loudspeakers

Bozak Listener Series. Model LS-200

The name Bozak has always stood for the very highest standards in sound reproduction available from current technology. Now, advances in the state -of-the-art. Have enabled Bozak to develop a new generation of compact speaker systems known as the Listener Series.

First and most compact of the Listener Series speakers is Model LS-200, designed to provide an optimum combination of frequency, phase and transient response, resulting in an experience in musical reality from a minimal sized system which can only be appreciated by listening.

Designed and engineered in Bozak's own laboratories by a team personally directed by Mr. R.T Bozak, the LS-200 is intended to provide a lifetime of listening satisfaction. Even after "30 years" of manufacture a traded in Bozak speaker system is a rarity.

Underlying the discernible superiority of Bozak Speaker systems is a tradition of strict adherence to the laws of physics insofar as current technology will permit. This tradition has restrained Bozak from incorporating the many "startling" developments which have come and gone in the loudspeaker industry. What does make the LS-200 outperform previous units is its combination of speakers and cabinetry.

The 8-inch bass driver is supported in a rigid cast basket, not a stamped  frame. The cone is of lightweight aluminium which functions as a heat sink, enabling it to handle much higher levels of power without burning out, compared with conventional paper cones.

The treble speaker is Bozak's new B-200Z tweeter, which has unequalled smoothness over an extended range, yet lacks the "hiss" and "sizzle" which characterize so many extended range units, it, too, features an aluminum cone.

The two speakers are interconnected with a phase-corrected cross-over network which assures smooth transition from one speaker to the other as musical frequencies vary.

The entire system is housed in a rigid 5/8 inch-thick enclosure to eliminate sympathetic vibrations from the cabinet. A scientifically designed duct enhances bass performance. Both drivers are front mounted behind a removable grille. Exterior surfaces are covered in walnut-grained vinyl.
