What is stereo?

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Martin Logan Summit X loudspeakers

Summit X—Flawless Electrostatic Performance Inspired by CLX

Inspired by CLX, Summit X is the first hybrid electrostatic speaker to bring controlled dispersion to low-frequencies. By using a precision Vojtko crossover network to apply variable phasing near the crossover point, dual woofer Controlled Dispersion PoweredForce technology provides seamless blending with MartinLogan’s controlled dispersion XStat transducer. Four modular feet allow vertical dispersion adjustment over a 12 degree range, while 25 and 50 Hz level controls fine-tune woofer output to provide deep, powerful, smooth, clean, and detailed bass throughout the listening environment. Control panel and ground effects lighting provide the final touch.

CLX™ inspired crossover engineering perfectly blends a high-resolution XStat™ electrostatic transducer and dual Controlled Dispersion PoweredForce™ woofers to provide an unparalleled sonic experience.

Key Features:

• CLS™ XStat electrostatic transducer

• Ultra rigid AirFrame™

• Dual 200 watt Controlled Dispersion Powered Force 10-inch aluminum cone woofers
