What is stereo?




There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Harman/Kardon hk750 amplifier

The new hk750 is the logical extension of our widely acclaimed 700 Series High Technology Separates - a sophisticated integrated amplifier that produces 45 watts per channel into 8 Ω

As with the rest of the 700 Series, the 750 has been designed with low negative feedback to keep TIM and Total Harmonic Distortion well below audible levels.

The 750 also has features you might not expect on other comparable integrated amps. Like a 5 stage, fully discrete phono pre-amp section that's extremely fast and quiet. Plus a toroidal power supply that can easily handle two pairs of speakers while substantially reducing both hum and stray noise. Two tape copy/monitor positions are provided for dubbing and monitoring. And the 750 also features loudness control, subsonic and hi cut filters, as well as tone defeat.
