What is stereo?




There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

The Hitachi model HS/335 high fidelity loudspeaker reflects all the refinements of the "state-of-the-art." acoustic design while incorporating fine cabinetry to compliment any decor.

The unit features a 10-inch rolled edge woofer with aluminum voice coil bobbin and carbon fiber cone giving rich bass response with low distortion. The HS/335 also features a 5-inch mid-range cone and a 1-inch titanium diaphragm dome tweeter. Frequency response of the HS/335 is 45 Hz to 18 kHz ±4 dB.

Crossover points are a 700 Hz and 3000 Hz . The speaker box itself is a sealed acoustic suspension structure with a 38 litre cubic volume.

Sound pressure levels of 91 dB (8 Ω ) 1m/1 W, are generated, representative of the efficiency of this unit.

The speaker cabinet exterior is wood grain vinyl on wood products and is finished with handsome removable matte charcoal brown grille cloth.
