High Fidelity 3-Way, 5-Speaker System
An unmatched, super-deluxe 3-way, speaker system featuring a 12" powerful woofer, a 5" resonance-damped mid-range driver, a horn-type tweeter, a cone-type tweeter, and an additional tweeter to assure even dispersion of highs. The enclosure which is styled along classically proportioned Japanese lines is another feature of this system.

A multi-position click-stop level control is provided for easy and accurate level adjustment in highs and lows.
Ample use of sound absorbent virtually permits no standing waves to exist in the enclosure.
The CS-88 accepts up to 60-watt driving input. Not only it creates an ideal music-center atmosphere at home but also it provides sufficient sound output for concert-hall installation
The back of the mid-range speaker is acoustically closed with a frame to prevent any possible interference with low frequencies, insuring reproduction of sounds with the least distortion.
Level Control
Two level controls are provided; one for use in high frequency range and the other in middle-frequency range. These controls can be operated independently of each other to provide three kinds of frequency response curves.
Reason for employment of three tweeters
One is provided to improve the acoustic directivity (dispersion) of highs, the other to produce crisp sounds, and the last to produce soft tones. Provision of these frequency-characterized tweeters insures to match the performance of the CS-88 to any type of program source.
