What is stereo?




There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic (monaural) and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound.

Here is good speaker . 10" Woofer 3-way speaker system. The JVC model SK-55 3-Way 3-Speaker acoustic suspension speaker system offers you extended frequencies and power ranges to help satisfy the needs of the most critical requirements.

Woofer Characteristics

The 10" rolled free edge woofer uses a Kurt Muller cone paper made from strictly selected material. It reproduces a very deep and rich bass together with a unique Sandwich Edge coated with plastic on both sides

Midrange Speaker

The 3,5" Midrange speaker, also, has the Kurt Muller cone paper. The cone is supported by a ring of glass wool and the center  cap is coated with a special plastic dampener. These combined features produce a sound with good transient and smooth response to cover a wide listening angle.

Damperless Tweeter

The tweeter is a newly developed "Air Suspension Damperless Speaker" and has a very special light diaphragm and voice coil to produce a sharp and clear high frequency sound with good transient response. Also, the beautifully designed diffuser is used for wide dispersion of the sound.

Power Handling Capacity

The power capacity of the combined SK-55 speaker units is a guaranteed 110 watts peak and 55 watts rms.

Controlable High Frequency Response

The built-in continuously variable level control lets you adjust the frequency response in the high frequency range so as to meet the acoustic conditions of your room or to satisfy your preference.

Cabinet Design

The well designed acoustic suspension enclosure has a 1-piece detachable front panel for your convenient adjustment of the tweeter response or to give an idea of visible sound. The cabinet is of beautiful walnut grained vinyl on a particle board that blends nicely with your furniture.
